Oh how I love Monday mornings! Quietly sitting making my grocery list/meal plan for the week while my son plays with his cars and trucks. This morning, I am even enjoying a cup of coffee while I plan! That’s a treat for me, I give up caffeine when I am pregnant, but once in a while I’m beyond exhausted and will hit up the Tim Hortons drive thru for a decaf! I figure if I keep decaf coffee grounds in the house, I will be tempted to drink it everyday, this way I have to heave myself off the couch bring the toddler and drive to get it. And lets be honest, these days, if something requires that kind of effort the appeal is usually lost! But today it was needed; the little man woke up in tears at 4am and wouldn’t sleep unless he was clinging to me in the rocker (this never happens!), as much as I enjoyed the cuddles, I would have rather been sleeping in my own bed…
So here is what we are eating this week:
Monday: Chicken stir-fry
Tuesday: BBQ sausages and Caesar salad
Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner (scrambled eggs, whole wheat pancakes, fruit salad)
Thursday: Salmon with garlic green beans and rice
Friday: eating out
Saturday: eating out
Sunday: we always have Sunday dinners at either my parents house or my husbands
I’m also planning on making a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread (I am IN LOVE with these Robin Hood flour bread maker recipes. Every single one I have tried turns out perfectly. YUM YUM YUM). And I saw a show on The Food Network this weekend, and they made spicy chickpeas so I think I am going to give them a try tomorrow morning as well.
