Start your Barbeques!

This week’s weather is going to be amazing! Chance of rain most days, but temps are going to be well above average (mid to high teens!) so we will for sure be bbqing some meals this week. And since I am scared to use the thing, that means the hubby will be cooking. Well, he’ll be cooking the meat, I will still be making the sides…

There are some really great sales this week at my grocery store, which makes me happy! I am feeling very inspired this week, so I will be trying some new recipes. My April issue of Food Network magazine arrived last week (big thanks to my wonderful husband for the subscription for Christmas), so I am going to try a bunch of recipes from it this week! And once Lent is over, I am going to be trying some more, because hello amazing dessert section! Buttermilk pie? Pistaschio Bakalva tartlets? YES PLEASE!

Here is what we are eating this week:

Monday – grilled pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus

Tuesday – bbq steaks with stir fried eggplant (Food Network magazine recipe, also found here, I will be adding zucchini and portobellos to it)

Wednesday – gnocchi and garden salad

Thursday – Farmhouse Hash with pot-poached eggs (Food Network magazine recipe, I will be using turkey sausage instead, also found here)

Friday – pan seared fish with sesame scallion rice (Food Network magazine recipe, also found here) and steamed broccoli
