Meal Plan Monday – November 4 2013

Another week has flown by, and I am slowly starting to accept that life is busy now, and I need to just deal with it. With Advent being less than a month away, I still have my felt Nativity to finish sewing, and I wanted to also make a Jesse tree this year…I don’t think those are going to happen…again. Oh well. Speaking of Holidays, it’s an interesting mix of decorations on our street right now. With Halloween being last week and super rainy, many people haven’t taken down their decorations yet, and there are those that have already put up their Christmas ones. It’s a very strange light show right now. Personally, as Catholics, we wait until Advent starts to acknowledge the Christmas season. I know many jump right in after Halloween, some wait until after Remembrance Day, and others wait until after the US Thanksgiving at the end of this month. When do you turn your lights on?

Last weeks meal plan was awesome, and if you didn’t see me raving about the cabbage roll soup on twitter or facebook, it is a must try! So easy, and tastes just like cabbage rolls! Perfect for these cold days.

Here is what we are eating this week:

Monday – pierogies with sautéed bacon and cabbage and salad

Tuesday – roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli

Wednesday – spaghetti

Thursday – chicken nuggets with roasted sweet potatoes and zucchini

Friday – baked sole with garlic lemon noodles and salad

Hope you all had a great weekend, and found a little time to meal plan! Check out Org Junkie for lots of great meal and menu ideas!
