I didn’t get my meal plan posted yesterday, my hubby was playing around with the computer all day! We had been happily using Linux (instead of Windows) for a while now, but my husband wasn’t able to play a lot of the games he wanted too, which is partly why he built the new computer anyways…so we are back to using Windows. Windows 8 at that! SO now I have to try and figure out this operating system today, and re-save all my passwords again…my brain hurts just thinking about learning this new version of Windows, wish me luck!
Today is also New Years Eve. Anyone else out there not celebrate it?! Nope, just us, ok…..My husband and I have never been big into New Years. I can’t even remember the last time we even stayed up till midnight! New Years day is big for our family, heading to Church and a big family dinner, but today we don’t really acknowledge. Ok, that being said, the rest of our family does, like most of you. Fancy dinners and parties out…it’s just my husband and I that don’t get it…
Anyways, on to the food! My Christmas list often includes several cookbooks, and this year was no different. I was lucky enough to receive one from my mother-in-law; Gordon Ramsey’s Healthy Appetite. YUM! Healthy meals, most are simple to make, from one of my fav Chefs! I picked two recipes to try this week from the book, and one we had for dinner last night. It was super easy to make, and so very delicious! Cannot wait for Friday now! Here is what we are eating this week:
Monday – Spiced pork chops with sweet potatoes (Gordon Ramsey Healthy Appetite cookbook)
Tuesday – My Famous Spaghetti
Wednesday – Happy Near Year! Big family dinner at my parents
Thursday – honey garlic sausage stirfry with peppers, over rice
Friday – Rice noodle salad with shrimp (Gordon Ramsey Healthy Appetite cookbook)
