Another week, another meal plan! I really hope you all give meal planning a try, it helps out so much with that crazy dinner time rush! A little planning on the weekend can save you time during the week, and money at the grocery store if you stick to your list! Shop your house first to see what needs to be used up, or what you have in your pantry. Check the sales and plan your meals around what proteins are on sale. You can even ask for input from the rest of the family! My hubby usually suggests one dinner, and the kids always make sure we are having homemade pizza or spaghetti each week. And, like most things, the more you do it, the easier it gets. It usually only takes me 20 minutes to plan our dinner for the entire week! Here is what we are eating this week:
Monday – pork cutlets, sweet potatoes, and salad
Tuesday – homemade pizza with broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, chicken…really whatever we can find :)
Wednesday – chicken enchilada casserole
Thursday – kielbasa stir fry
Friday – salmon with basmati rice and broccoli
Another thing you can do to help your week run smoother is prep your food for the week ahead. I baked muffins yesterday, and as soon as we were home with the groceries I washed the grapes, chopped peppers and cucumbers for easy snacking, and will hard boil some eggs too. Spending time now, so I don’t have to later :). Happy menu planning!
